Fat Loss Macros

Hi All,

34yrs old, 6’4, 230lbs, waist 40".

I’m currently using the recommended macros for fat loss,
288g protein, 230g carbs, 62g fat. Been following pretty closely over the last 3 weeks, and I’ve only lost about a pound.

is there a lower bound for the fat portion of macros? I was going to cut 5g fat, 15g carbs if weight hasn’t dropped further after this week.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.

I think what I’d do here is set your protein and carbs to 230g for each and keep fat the same. See what happens there.

I ended up getting really sick for about a month with essentially no training. I’ve dropped from 237lbs to 220lbs, lost a huge amount of strength obviously… waistline only dropped about an inch or two from 40-41" down to 39.

Should I just L.P. with the macros you mentioned above, trying to get down to about 210? Really I want to get my waist down to 34-36", but at my height I am concerned about going much lower than that bodyweight without my strength suffering further.
