Finished Bridge 3.0 and plan on beginning Strength 1 after the new year.
After listening to the latest Barbell Medicine podcast about managing intensity I thought I would give this a try as towards the end of the Bridge template I wound commonly experience joint pains and other little niggles that wouldn’t really slow me down but I would have to work through.
I figured I would initially use the numbers from the end of The Bridge and calculate out my week one goal weights and take it from there. My plan is:
Day 1
Squat with Belt
One Set 3 @ RPE 7
5x4 at 70% intensity
OHP
One Set 3 @ RPE 7
5x4 at 70% intensity
Pause Deadlift
4x5 at 70% Intensity based on last bridge totals.
Day2
Pause Squats
5x4 at 70% intensity based on last bridge totals
Bench
One Set 3 @ RPE 7
5x4 at 70% intensity
Pendelay Rows
4x10 at RPE 7
Day 3
Deadlift w/ Belt
One Set 3 @ RPE 7
5x4 at 70% intensity
LBBS
4X10 RPE 7
Bench/OHP Alternate Weeks
5X10 @ RPE 6-7
My plan is the run this for 4 weeks and just sort of judge where it is going. Does this make sense or is it way out of wack?
