A few questions

Coming from Starting Strength background, Into the 8th week of Bridge 1.0. I was originally planning to begin Strength template as recommended by Dr Feigenbaum (https://forum.barbellmedicine.com/fo…ited-equipment) and I have already purchased the template. Questions:

  1. I was judging RPE poorly during first many weeks of Bridge. But now I am getting better at it. I have a feeling that I can re-run Bridge with better success before moving onto Strength Template for further improvement. Will it be a terrible idea to do so?

  2. My Bench is lagging, but I am doing well with the Press. During my second Bridge Run, is it okay to switch between the Press and the Bench Press, i.e. to do the Bench Press on 3rd Day and the Press on the 5th day after Deadlift? I hope that this modification would help me to prioritise the Bench as I am always a bit beat up after the Deads. If this is fine, can I begin Day 3 with the Bench when I am fresh?

  3. I do SS style Press 2.0. From the BBM programming perspective, which would be better - Strict Press or Press 2.0? I assess that my Strict Press strength would be somewhere between 90% to 95% of Press 2.0 strength.

  4. Finally, I notice that the 2nd exercise on Day 1 during Weeks 5, 6 and 8 is 3ct paused Bench. But on Week 7 it is Pin Bench. Is it intentional or a typo? I blindly followed the template and did Pin Bench on week 7 anyway.

I am sorry if these questions are already answered ad nauseam.

MLC,

  1. If you’re making good progress with The Bridge, you can re-run it sure. That said, it wouldn’t be better or worse than moving on to another program.

  2. If you’re going to re-run The Bridge, I wouldn’t modify it. If you need to do this, I’d just swap to another template.

  3. It doesn’t matter at all.

  4. It’s intentional.
