I am on Wk 6 / Day 3 of your Bridge 1.0 template. I came to it after several years of lifting, first in the middle rep range, then SSLP, then following an Andy Baker program.
I had a very hard first few weeks with the Bridge, which I will chalk up to getting used to gauging my RPE. After 4 weeks I was feeling better and I bought the 7 Week GPP Hypertrophy template. Fiddling around with its calculator helped a lot and now I’m at the point of really liking the Bridge. My original plan had been to go from it to the GPP/hypertrophy program, as I am slowly cutting (4 lbs in just under 7 weeks.) However, the more I think about it, the more I’d like to go back and do the Bridge again because now that I really “get” RPE I feel like I could do it better. Then, after the second time through, I’d switch to GPP/hypertrophy and from that point probably alternate it with another strength template. Is there any reason why this would be inadvisable and, if not, are there any changes that you recommend making to the program the second time around?
