Getting hurt on warmup?

Hi everyone,
about a month ago i was getting ready to squat and wanted to warm up.I did a few bodyweight sets of 10 reps and then got under the bar to do another few sets of 10 with the bar.On the first set i got a sharp pain in my left knee i believe it was above the patella.Next few days was painful and i didn’t train.So my question is is it possible to get hurt with very light weight?Even a month later my knee is still painful,i’m not doing any squats,only deadlfts and light leg press.

Sorry to hear about the knee issue. We’d need to define what we mean by hurt given pain isn’t a good enough indicator to go off of. With that said, why have you been avoiding squats? Although this seems initially intuitive, avoidance will likely perpetuate the persistence of the issue.
