Got sick, what do.

Good morning, hope you’re off to a good week. Currently running General Strength and Conditioning 2, 3-day. As previously stated, loving the program layout and excited for block of improving my Conditioning and exposure to new movements. Unfortunately, last week was Week 2 of block 1 and I got sick. I completed day 1, but got sick the following day. I was pretty sick and unable to train the rest of the week, but did get one very low intensity RPE 3 Conditioning session in that still felt fatiguing.

So i decided to repeat week 1 this week. Monday, i was feeling better, but still not 100%. I got movement 1 and 2 done, but was taxed and didn’t finish the workout. Tuesday, felt better but not 100%. Did the low intensity 40 min Conditioning session. Completed it, but pace was considerably slower than my typical RPE 3 to 4 pace.

Finally, yesterday’s workout started feeling more normal. Completed the entire workout and performance was more or less typical. I’m going to complete another Conditioning session today. I’m feeling a little Muscle Soreness which is a little rare for me. I have a pickleball tournament Saturday that I want to be 100% for (or as close to as I can), I’m playing tonight to get my legs moving again after being more sedentary than normal.

Tomorrow, I’m leaning towards doing day 3, but cutting a set from each movement and dropping RPEs to keep it very light in an effort to be ready for the tournament Saturday. Does this seem reasonable with the short term goal of wanting to perform in my tournament on Saturday? If I hadn’t been sick I would just train as normal.

With all that said, I think repeating week 1 again next week makes sense, thoughts?

Lastly, and totally unrelated, are there plans for a PB2 gen 2 template and if so when? After running GS2, i may run the 4-day version, but also might switch back to more specific Strength training.

As usual, thanks in advance

I think the training mods are fine for the tournament. I would favor moving onto Week 2 next week over repeating week 1.

Not sure about a second generation PB2 off hand.
