Gradual Increase in Pain/Discomfort When Squatting

Hello BBM Crew,
As the title implies, I have been experieincing some glute and hip pain/discomfort that has been increasing as I go from week to week. I was running my second round of the 12-Week Strength template when it first popped up and then pivoted to the 7-Week 4 Day Hypertrophy template where it has increased as well to the point where I cannot squat above 315 comfortable for sets of 6. For reference I was able to do 330 for my top set of 6@8 the previous week where I felt it, but it has now gotten to the point where it has moved from a place of discomfort to pain and debilitating performance. (I have been avidly trying to avoid the nocebo effect)

What would the guidance be on how to help alleviatre the pain based off the current 4 Day hypertrophy template I am currently running?

Hey @scbullock - sorry to hear about this issue. Our typical recommendation is to modify loading to allow tolerable training that isn’t severely increasing your symptoms during or after training. Have you tried upping the repetitions more and dropping RPE to regulate external loading?
