group programming questions

How many groups is there currently?

Will everyone in my group be placed in the same group next month?

Is my progress measured by my estimated 1 rep max, or will I actually max out?

Is there a questionnaire at the end of each month?

Does the BBM coaches generally keep the physical activity to a minimum on off days, or not necessarily? If so, do you eat less calories on these days?

Why is getting rid of metabolic waste useful? And why are GPP days better at this than regular lifting?

Thanks, I love my program so far!

Hey Willy_P,

Thanks for the message and glad to hear you’re digging the group programming.

As to your questions:

  1. There are 3 groups: intermediate, powerbuilding, and competitor.
  2. Depends on what group you are in, but in general testing a true max is probably not terribly productive for non competitors.
  3. Yessir, we send out a survey at the end of each month
  4. We don’t recommend lowering calories on rest days, as much of your recovery is taking place during those days. We don’t recommend avoiding physical activity on off days unless the activity is likely to be very stressful and your performance in the upcoming workout is very important
  5. I don’t think getting rid of metabolic waste is a useful training goal to target directly…
  6. GPP days aren’t betterthan regular lifting. Rather they are a different training stimulus entirely and contribute to developing a well rounded lifter.
