Hip Pain out of no where

Hello Dr Feigenbaum and Dr. Baraki,

I have held off on bringing this up because I wanted to practice some of the “see how it is ____ weeks from now” approach, but it has been a few weeks now. On the 31st of December, my right hip (around the back side) started feeling some discomfort. It started so weak and barely noticeable, and it seemed to have increased up to a point, but has seemed to flatline. It is really hard to describe, partly because sometimes it seems as if the pain is migrating around in that general area. I have only felt it during a workout on 1 rep, a squat rep (which was also the last rep I have done as of today), out of 90 working-set-reps. Every other rep for all of my workouts since then I never felt it. However, it is really distracting and uncomfortable throughout the day, when I feel it most often. Should I keep on doing everything as usual or should I change anything? I’m hoping that it can resolve itself without any intervention, since there wasn’t even anything noticeable that caused it, but so far it hasn’t done that. (I have heard that high-bar squats put less of the work on the hips (correct me if I am wrong), so if it comes to that sort of solution, is it worth trying?)

Thanks!

So you don’t actually feel any pain when you train, but do feel it the rest of the time?
