Hi there - I’m currently on 2000 calories per day (175P/225C/44F, weight 214lbs, height 6ft1, age 30) and am struggling to hit my fibre goals.
Below are what I believe to be the highest fibre foods I’ve had today, and this still only comes to 26g fibre (according to MyFitnessPal):
- 40g oats
- 2x slice oatmeal bread
- 125g banana
- 120g apple
- 100g clementine
- 100g (240g cooked) penne pasta
- 80g carrots
- 35c button mushrooms
- 200g chopped tomatoes Is it simply a case of me choosing my fibre sources more carefully, or do you find fibre intake often decreases when cutting calories?
