I’m currently running the 2.0 12-week strength program and am on week 8. In about two weeks (the day before I start week 10), I have a procedure scheduled, and my surgeon said I would need 2 weeks recovery before I could start lifting again.
So my question is: how would i best approach something like this? Should I just pick up where I left off at week 10?

Since that is the end phase of the program where intensities are ramping up and approaching a peak, I would not jump right into that situation after two weeks off post-surgery. I would either move on to whatever next programming approach you had planned, or reset back to the low stress week and work forward from there.
I see the thread is old, but I want to leave a tip from my experience: take your time to return. Surgery is stressful for the body, and physical activity after surgery will also be stressful.
