I’m familiar with the content on pain and have used it successfully for tendinopathy and other aches and pains.
I have recently developed something different and what I’ve been trying not only hasn’t helped, but has made it way worse.
When doing curls, pressing movements, or other pulling movements, I often feel a tendon or even maybe my ulnar nerve if that’s possible, roll over the bone on the inside of my elbow. I didn’t worry about it at first, since it wasn’t accompanied by any pain.
Now, however, especially after curls or tricep push downs for GPP, moderate pain has started after training is done. It lasts for the rest of the day and for a few days after.
I kept lowering the weight each time, but it still increased.
My last set of curls was at 6 lbs for 1 set of 12 reps at 3-0-3 tempo.
That has led to the worst pain so far and I’ve been feeling it for more than a day now. It is only in my left elbow and my left elbow is the only one that experiences a noticeable rolling sensation on the inside.
I don’t have anything lighter than 6 lb dumbbells, and I don’t think lowering the weight is making any difference. This makes me think it’s not like my tendinopathy. Especially since it’s a different part. What should I do?
In the interim, if you’ve gone down to the lowest possible load you have accessible and symptoms are still not improving, then perhaps briefly removing provocative movements and subbing in alternatives is warranted.
