Hi everyone!
For about 2 years now, I’ve been dealing with a weird nerve issue in my right forearm.
When lowering the bar during the press, I feel a jolting sensation in my left forearm. I have posted a few form checks (although not here), and it doesn’t seem to be related to form. It happens whether my elbows are out in front of the bar or not, and regardless of wrist position. It does lessen with a wider grip however, and using an axle or thick bar seems to make it a little more tolerable.
Load definitely has something to do with it - it doesn’t happen at all at the bar, but starts around 95 and progressively gets worse as the weight goes up. It isn’t painful, but it is extremely distracting and throws me off despite being so used to it.
I presume this is some sort of ulnar nerve issue, but I am not totally sure. Has anyone ever experienced this, or have any idea of what could be causing this issue?
Thanks!
