Jordan/Austin's past training logs

So I went through both Jordan’s and Austin’s past logs, arising in 2012 & 2014 respectively. I can say, they are highly useful with respect to Jordan stating “Welp, I figured I’d start a log in case anyone actually looks at it as a jumping off point for their own programming and maybe also to ask some questions”
,

  1. Austin, what intermediate program did you stick to after ending LP (285 lb Squat) to reach a meet PR at 430?

  2. Jordan, what intermediate program did you use to reach 440 Squat PR? Note you did TM style programming afterwards, 5x5 Volume Day (5lb jumps/week) initially, with singles on Intensity day.

  3. Assuming it does not matter what y’all did in the past, since current recommended BBM programming is more applicable for efficacy?

  1. There was a substantial gap in time there where I did many different things (including TM and even a period of time playing with CrossFit). When I finally got serious about training and approached that meet, was shortly after I had met Jordan and gotten his help with some programming that was in a similar style to what we use now.

  1. Yes, if I could go back and do things differently, I would not have spent time doing the Texas Method.

So you’d have deduced to Jordan’s General Strength Template as mentioned on The Great Wide Open, or the Bridge?

  1. I didn’t really follow any specific programming. I just hit that squat at my first meet weighing 176lbs and I can’t really remember what I did specifically outside of some 5x5 work, 5/3/1, and self guided stuff. After that I had some guidance through TM, 4day split, and TSF1SB and my lifts went nowhere.
  2. Yes. I do not think I would repeat any of the programs I did before finding RTS.
