Just being safe

About a day ago at night i accidently opend a steel door when my 66 yo mother was behind it which hit her on the right side of the head, it hurt her but she seemed okay otherwise, she said she was fine.
It was night and shortly after she went to sleep.
At the morning she woke up, she felt overall fine, she did feel some pain on the right side of her head (where she was hit) and pressure in her right eye, she iced it up a bit and put some hot tee on the eye but otherwise went on normally with her day.
She went to sleep now, says it feels better.
my past martial arts trainer really scared me with dangers of blows to the head.
So should there be taken any action?
What can the effects be?
She means the world to me and i want the best for her, hopefully you can calm me down.
thank you very much!

Hi there,

Unfortunately we cannot provide you specific advice in this case.

Blows to the head can certainly cause problems in some cases (though not all), like concussion, subdural hematoma, and other issues. But again, we can’t tell you that from here.
