I would like to ask for some help, when my girlfriend is squatting her right ooor left, i don’t know right now sorry, has very bad knee cave, when she lift rpe 8 or rpe 8+ weight she just cant get up becouse her knees just goes in so bad. He stance is like shoulder width. It is happening on the deadlift too just there its not that conspicuous. I would like to get some help what can we do to correct this? Some accessories? Something is weak? Or what?
If she can’t get up with a weight it’s not an rpe @8 but at least an @10.
I would have her squat and DL with less weight. Have her work up to a weight were the knee cave starts to get noticeable. Keep that as the top weight of the session. Cue her to push the knees out.
Over time the weight should go up.
Hi, if necessary while squatting, a person needs to concentrate on forcing an external rotation at the knee. It can help to slightly increase the outward angle of your feet. Don’t point your toes straight forward, point them outward a bit and then concentrate on keeping your knees over your toes during the motion. One common cue phrase is “screw your feet into the ground”. You want your right leg/foot screwed in clockwise and your left leg/foot screwed in counter-clockwise.
