Left Groin Disturbance

As stated, I have a left groin disturbance. No acute trauma to the area. it begins to act up after about 10 minutes of walking and when I sleep, oddly. sitting can agitate it as well. went to the gym and did LB Squats and it didn’t seem to bother me during the exercise, although it seemed like I subconsciously favored my right leg over my left when squatting. not sure if that makes sense but I wasn’t in my groove. post workout I have a pulsing sensation in the area.

how would you recommend backing off on squatting while not doing the typical “dr” protocol of “just stop squatting”?

Hey @Aura636ZX ,

I’m sorry to hear about the groin issue you’ve been dealing with. To your question, I would recommend starting here for our general approach for managing these types of scenarios in training.

Based on the history you provided, you may find this article helpful as well (specifically the adductor tendinopathy portion). Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Hope that helps!

update - i continued w PB1/Wk3/D2 & D3. Again during leg exercises no issues, but post workout is when my groin starts to act up. I’m also getting knee joint pain and posterior proximal leg pain, I’m not sure if this is referred pain or not. walking and sleeping are still an issue.

I did scale back my weights and volume the last 2 workouts.

also when I apply pressure to the area in my groin the pain when walking seems to go away and return after like 10 - 15 secs. there in no bulge either.

I don’t know if this is your case or not but my brother-in-law had hip pain and groin pain. He did not think they were related. He just had his hip replaced and the groin pain has gone away.

Another Update - woke up this morning and no pain AT ALL - ALL DAY… good news yes, but im not about to jump back into the same weights from 2 wks ago. I’m taking LB Squat slow rn. everything feels good so far.
