I’ve run the LISF program a couple times. I really enjoy it. My question is: if I am feeling particularly good an a certain day and want to add a little volume would it be better to add additional sets of a particular main movement (e.g. low bar squats) or treat the last set as an amrap? I realize an amrap set might push the fatigue past where I’d like it to be given the low fatigue nature of the program but I am just curious. Trying to be mindful of time in the gym while capitalizing on “good” days. Thanks in advance.
I don’t see many good uses for the AMRAP set. As you’ve seen, I rarely program them. I think that increasing the load on the “good days” is the move while maintaining RPE, ROM, and rest periods within the framework of this template. To me, that would be capitalizing on your bump in performance.
