Meaning of x 1 set

quick question, sorry if it’s been answered, couldn’t find it in a search.

I just got the Powerbuilding II template and I’m confused by some wording.

For some of the exercises it will list several rows, such as:

8 reps @ 7 RPE (71%)
8 reps @ 8 RPE (74%)
8 reps @ 9 RPE (76%) x 1 set

What does the “x 1 set” mean? There are other similar rep and set schemes listed that are exactly the same minus the “x 1 set” part. Does this mean to do the last row twice?

You’ll just do the final “top” set once, rather than do it for multiple sets or for some back off work.

Thanks.

so if something says:

8 reps @ 7 RPE (71%)
8 reps @ 8 RPE (74%)
8 reps @ 9 RPE (76%)

that means the same as

8 reps @ 7 RPE (71%)
8 reps @ 8 RPE (74%)
8 reps @ 9 RPE (76%) x 1 set

because it’s listed both ways in the spreadsheet, which is sort of confusing.

Yep, it’s the same.
