Medial knee pain rehab

Hi all,

I would purchase the knee rehab template, but it doesn’t seem to be directed at my issue. My pain is in the D and E areas in the picture at the bottom (with a little bit in the B area when under load) but the pain is a little more to the side of the knee than the illustration shows.

The pain is both to the touch when resting, especially when sitting with my legs at 90 degrees, as well as when walking or going down stairs.

Never had the pain while squatting/deadlift before. The pain originated when I was playing volleyball at a family reunion barefoot on the grass and running/jumping/diving like I was 18 yo again (I’m 30 but still competitive lol). It hurt like hell after the first game, but I played a second game like a dumbass. Could barely walk the next morning, but after a 2 day drive home it felt mostly better.

After squatting the day after I got home (4 days after the initial injury) I had discomfort while squatting, but it flared up like crazy that evening and the next day, and after squatting again 3 days after my first training session back the same thing happened.

I can deadlift without too much pain the next day, but squatting is off for now.

is this something I just let rest and don’t squat for a week or two, or is there some sort of rehab I need to do?

Any advice appreciated.
