Micronutrients (Veggies / Fruits)

When I first got into lifting I just wanted to gain weight, and eating bunch of fruit and veggies obviously made me feel more full with little calories. It didn’t really feel like it played a role on how I looked/gained muscle, but Now I’ve realized how dumb it is to avoid these things, and I want to be healthier.

Is it acceptable to juice and make smoothies for the majority of my servings in place of eating them? Does the difference between the two make a major difference nutritionally and in my overall chance to lower risk of disease? Just want to do the best thing for my health but I know going from zero fruits and veggies to 10 servings cooked is going to be near impossible for me if I’m honest with myself. Thanks!

You can use a blender, but juicing them removes a number of beneficial compounds and isn’t quite the same as eating whole fruit.

You don’t have to go from 0 to 10, but aiming for for a small increase every few weeks as you shift eating habits would probably be ideal.
