Minor Elbow Hyper-extension

Yesterday in Jui Jitsu, I was got caught in a too fast arm-bar. Before I could tap, there was a small pop and pain on pointy side of my elbow to the ulna side of the joint. There was no pain on the bicep side. Now, there is not persistent pain; it hurts only when I fully extend. All online info I can find on this type of injury focuses on Bicep side pain so I am a bit at a loss as to what to watch out for.

I’ve never had any kind of elbow injury before so I am primarily asking if there are any lifts I need to be especially careful on as to not further injure the joint. My current plan it to continue lifting as programmed and take a few extra intermediate weight warm ups on any lift involving elbow flexion. If a lift causes more than minor pain, I will cut short at the weight where the pain occurs. Also, I am a little wary of a heavy barbell in a hanging position (RDL, DL, etc).

Thanks for any input.

I would not be overly concerned about this. So long as there is no appreciable deficit in your triceps you likely just needs to adjust RPE according to symptoms over the next few days and this will resolve on its own.
