Mobility Training Running Rampant in the Fitness Industry

Hello everyone!
I want help understanding the reasons why there is such a large market for mobility training in the fitness industry. For example, many health professionals fall under the trap of attending certifications like FRC and ELDOA. Is there any evidence to suggest that such systems, specifically FRC and ELDOA, accomplish what they claim to do? Some of the claims made by these systems include increased athleticism, injury prevention, less pain, mitigation of spinal degradation, and so on (there are many more claims but hopefully you get the gist).

I find it hard to believe so many professionals like trainers, physical therapist, chiropractors (discussion in of itself) subscribe to these practices without there being any evidence or practical benefits. My hypothesis is that there is a lack of understanding of the origins of pain, and that it is somewhat easy to market the “fix” for chronic pain if you can sound smart and pronounce a bunch of made up phrases.

I would love to hear opinions on this topic because it is somewhat troubling to see. It is difficult to find any studies done on the FRC and ELDOA systems so I felt it would be a good idea to get logical opinions on the matter.

Thanks,
-Saqib
