Mouth Breathing

Recently been told by an ENT I have a double deviated septum. To make matters worse, I have allergic rhinitis (which I am taking meds for).

At night, I breathe through my mouth (dry mouth in morning) and I can hardly breathe through my nose.

Can mouth breathing have a negative effect on recovery (and being able to achieve deep restorative sleep) provided training, mental stress, and nutrition are on point?

Thank you, I am looking forward to the Bridge

I cannot think of a mechanism by which mouth breathing alone would impair recovery.

If, however, your condition resulted in obstructive sleep apnea, then yes, it absolutely could compromise recovery.
