I read “sports gene” a while back a had a question about it.
I understand in the book he talks about narrow hips being better for sprinting and it’s more suited for athletes. But what about people with wide hips? Not necessarily really wide hips like most females do , but just slightly wider. Would their be a benefit to wider hips for a male. Strength? Power? Anything lol?
I am not sure there is any literature on this that I’m aware of, but I do think low velocity strength may be an advantage…to the extent a single anatomical feature presents in isolation anyway.
Just thinking about the body habitus that seem to perform at the highest level in PL.
