New Templates Question/Suggestion

Hi guys!

I’m super stoked for the new templates and at the same time herein lies my biggest problem with them: You guys provided neat descriptions of the different programs and which you recommend in what case… but there are so many factors that would be helpful for any individual trying to choose that one cannot gather from the descriptions alone… e.g. rep ranges and schemes (e.g. is there a heavy single before the volume sets? => love it but certainly affects workout duration), exercise selection and variety, duration, intensity etc. For instance I get that the Powerbuilding template will be more focused on the competition lifts than the new Hypertrophy but how about rep ranges and schemes between the two? Volume and intensity? Is the old Hypertrophy template more like the new Powerbuilding one, with the new Hypertrophy being completely different and less based on the main lifts now? There are so many factors that one might or might not prefer in a given situation when choosing between several templates.

So basically what I 'm trying to get to: I think it would help a lot in decision making if you guys would provide a screenshot of a sample week or at least a sample workout of each program to get a feel of what you’re getting into as it might avoid stopping people from not buying a program at all because they can’t decide based on all the factors that might be important to the individual. I know that a lot of work has gone into the templates but I highly doubt that disclosing a sample week or sample workout would give anyone enough info to extrapolate a whole program, especially since there’s so much more like the whole excel with the tracking possibilities and all the different phases within a program etc.

Anyway… halp!

I decided instead of creating a new thread, to ask here - I think Jordan mentioned once that there is a plan to release a Strongman template with help from Alan Thrall. Is that still in the pipeline?

Yea I have a strong man meet in 3 weeks so I’m working out some of the details for it with Alan. Should be up in a month after the contest.

Any chance you could amend or comment on what equipment is necessary? (Specifically interested in power building but I think it’d be helpful for all)

None of the templates require special equipment, i.e. you can do everything in a small home gym with a bar, rack, bench, and plates.

That said, having access to an incline bench, leg press, dumbbells, bands or chains, and a box to step up on (though a bench can work) would give someone max flexibility with all of the templates. Nevertheless, all are written to include options that require any special equipment other than a bar, bench, rack, and plates.

Hi
I’m from India, was trying to buy the beginner template (as an alternative to SS NLP) on your website but in billing information there are only select countries. Help me out!

Doc, youre trying strongman??? Hell yea! kill it…videos or it didn’t happen lol

Dr. Baraki,

side bar question that I felt fell into this category.

What metrics do you all use to determine the effectiveness of your programs? I have a few of them and fill them out. I was wondering if you all take selected individuals excel spreadsheets back after they have ran the program to see how they trended? No real point to make, just curious.
