Pain between shoulder blades - why?

Hi
I’m 42 years old now and have been going to the gym for a couple of years (around lockdowns!) doing a typical legs / back & shoulders / chest & arms routine and have improved my strength quite a bit.

In December I began to have a pain between my shoulder blades right around my spine that is like a dull ache, not present most of the day but sometimes “catches” and hurts if I bend into a particular position, which I can also feel at any if I breathe in deeply / when I sneeze, etc.

Since in the UK we locked down again from December to April, the pain went away completely. I started back at the gym, initially no problem but within the last week this pain is back. I’m now trying to figure out which exercise is the likely culprit so that I can avoid / dial down the weights.

As you’d expect my weights on all exercises have increased since I returned to the gym. I’m guessing either deadlifts or squats could be the culprit, but I also do overhead press, bench, rows, etc.

Any thoughts?
