Pendlay rows as upper-back GPP in the beginner prescription...

So Pendlay rows are a default exercise in phase 1. In phase 2 lever rows take their place by default. Phase 2 also adds GPP upper body work which according to google includes Pendlay rows as an option.

Is there any interference effect worth caring about in having lever rows as a scheduled exercise and Pendlay rows 2x a week for GPP? It seems a little illogical to me because the exercises seem quite similar.

No interference and it’s all part of building that foundation. Think jacked back, right?
