Benefits of Lever Row?

Dear BBM team,

Can I continue doing Pendlay rows for weeks 6, 7, and 8 on Bridge 3.0, or would I benefit more from doing the lever rows? Why is doing the lever row beneficial for weeks 6, 7, and 8? Can someone kindly explain to me the rationale behind lever rows?

Kind Regards,
Eddie Mun

Eddie,

As an autonomous adult you are free to do whatever you like within the boundaries of legal and social laws that you choose to recognize.

We would recommend doing lever rows in this context due to the fatigue modulation compared to the Pendlay Row. Additionally, given the previous exposure (and adaptations) to the Pendlay Row we think a slightly novel training stimulus may be beneficial in this particular context.

Dear Dr. Feigenbaum,

I guess I’m asking for “permission” because I just want to do the right thing, while trying to see if I have any wiggle room for autonomy. I’m starting to recognize there is a trend for optimal fatigue management in the way BBM templates are constructed. Thank you always for responding to these questions in spite of how busy you are! Hope you have a blessed day!

Kind Regards,
