Periodisation sources

How do you recommend learning about how to properly periodise training I’m open to learn about all types but I have seen you particularly promote concurrent so I’d love to research that. So is there any good sources or anything to learn about periodisation?

I saw that you asked this on my Instagram as well and I’m not really sure how to answer. I don’t think there’s a great go-to resource to learn about programming for individuals with minimal training and/or experience in the field.

That said, we’ve discussed a number of books and resources on this in our various podcasts and YouTube videos. I think episode #61 and #25 with mike T would be good places to start.

Thanks man I’m 15 so I won’t be very experienced but I’m doing as much learning as I can and I’m sure I will get there one day my goals are a 100 kilo bench 200 kilo deadlift and 155 kilo squat before I’m 16 so any help is appreciated

Also while you mentioned Mike t would you mind giving names of some other guys who give really good information

There are a lot of people who give good information and at the risk of leaving folks out, a short list:

  • Eric Helms
  • Data Driven Strength
  • Mike Zourdos
  • Bryce Lewis

That all being said, I’m not sure that more information is what you need right now to reach your goals. Rather, a good training program that you can adhere to would be the biggest factor.
