I was looking through the forums and saw this plug-in in the archives:
Workout A
Squats per SSLP
Bench x 1 @ +5% from last 5 x 3 sets on LP, then take 15% off the bar for 5 reps x 5 sets
Deadlift per SSLP
Press x 8 reps x 4 sets @ -12% from previous press 5 x 3 sets on LP
Workout B
Squats per SSLP
Press 1 @ +5% from last 5 x 3 sets, then take 15% off the bar for 4 reps x 6 sets
Power Cleans or Rows per SSLP
Close grip bench x 8 reps x 4 sets @ -15% from previous bench press 5 x 3 sets on LP
Two questions: one, how should one increase the weight week-to-week? Should I just treat it like LP and try to go up as often as I can or would that be counterproductive? Two, I haven’t done three sets of five for my presses in a while; I likely unadvisedly started doing five triples every session for my presses and now don’t have good three sets of five numbers to use to calculate the appropriate weights for my presses. What would be a good way to find a working weight?
