Missing lifts on LP

I’m doing sslp currently and still able to add weight to press/bench and DL but am starting to miss some squat reps. Basically at body weight on squats. Still doing 3 sets and getting 4 reps and sometimes 3. When this happens, should I deload to where I can complete 3x5 and then add 2.5 to the bar again on next session or do higher reps at the lower weight? Or just keep trying to work up to complete 5 reps at same weight where I miss reps. Thanks

That is unusual to miss reps on squat when you are still adding to the overhead press and bench press if you were using the same weight increments for your jumps for all three movements. It may be just because you started the SSLP at close to your true 5 rep max for squat while you had wiggle room with the other two movements.

How long have you been doing the SSLP? If you have a decent amount of time in even if you have some gains left in the program, you may want to start the Bridge. If you are only a few weeks in, then I would deload and try to build back up.

5 months but was not pulling every workout like I should have been. Started very low weights using 2.5lb increases. Trying to get body weight up as well ~182 @ 5’11” highest weight ever at 47yo. Lol

5 months is a relatively long time to be on NLP in any case, so it sounds like you should just move on to the bridge.

Definitely time to move on.
