Pooping sound on every rep, should I be concerned?

Hi, my left knee pops/cracks (same sound/feeling as cracking your knuckles) on pretty much every rep (at least 9/10 reps result in cracking) doing anything heavier than bodyweight for the past few weeks. It occurs when squatting both high bar and low bar. I have never trained squats regularly before this month and currently doing sets between 4 and 8 reps. There is no pain or discomfort at all during the workout and sometimes very very minor pain on the right side of my knee afterwards. I have been doing leg presses and other machine exercises for months with no issues i can recall. Is this something to worry about or try to fix? Could this be a form issue? 18yo physically active male, overweight, no previous injuries or chronic illnesses if any of that matters.
