Post-lifting headache

Any thoughts on a headache occurring 30-45 minutes post-lifting? (Never noticed during lifting). Post-workout is usually evening mealtime.

Seems a reliable occurrence for last nine months, maybe more … characterized by positional nature (upright better, leaning forward worse) and definitely worse with cough, sneeze, etc. Mild intensity. Seems to be the crown of the head, bilateral, without migraine features like aura.

Lasts around an hour, resolves spontaneously, and never occurs in other context. Never needs treatment with medication.

History of hypertension, but BP is fine during bouts. No other significant medical history.

I wouldn’t necessarily jump to blood pressure for headaches, but the current guidelines do recommend this type of headache being worked up by a physician- either your primary care doctor or a neurologist. That’s what I would do.
