PowerBuilding I - Extra Volume/GPP?

Hi,

I will be starting PB1 today. I have been doing a bodybuilding type “Push, Pull, Legs” split 6 days a week with emphasis on the 4 main lifts for the last few months. I have been in a calorie deficit (210lbs in December vs 175lbs today) and I plan on being in a calorie deficit while running PB1 as well (aiming for 160lbs). Should I be concerned that the drop in volume might affect muscle retention? If so, could I add some flies/pressing, rows/pull downs, and split squats? Or will that affect strength/recovery?

Also, I like going to the gym 6 days a week and the template only has 3 lifting days and 2 GPP days. Could I add one more GPP day or should the focus be on recovery?

Thanks.

I would plan on running the program as written the first time through.

Thanks Jordan!
