Pre-Workout

Hi BBM team,

I have a question regarding pre-workout supplementation and want to know your thought and if any changes I should make:

I currently do not take a pre-work supplement as such due to my schedule and family life so what I currently do is at work around 16:45 I will have a meal before I finish at 17:00 it takes me around 45mins to get home which then I will take a protein shake with creatine and then go train once I’m done I go straight home 20:00 and will have my evening meal.

so I’m basically asking should I re-schedule my protein shake and take a pre-workout instead ? The reason I take a protein shake as it
makes me feel a little fuller which I feel I perform better in the gym I know it’s probably just a placebo effect also its easier for me to quickly drink a protein shake and then go straight to the gym as I have a slight time restraint as I’m in the gym for 1 1/2 - 2 hours at least. So don’t want to put my family’s routine out just because I have to train.

I have found this pre-workout bellow I already get all my protein and creatine from MyProtein I have taken notes of what’s in your pre-workout.

or would I be better making my own if you suggest I supplement a pre-workout.

thank you

I would just skip the shake at home, take creatine at some other time during the day, and distribute the protein across your other meals.

Thanks Jordan,

so you suggest I don’t bother with supplementing a pre-workout ?
and with regards to not having the shake before why ? This does fit into my macros I’m not just taking it for the sake of it.

Thanks Jordan,

could I just get a little more detail please

  1. why don’t you think I should take my shake pre workout ?
  2. why do you suggest taking creatine at a different time ?
  3. are you saying I shouldn’t take a pre workout due to my routine ?
  4. if You suggest I take a pre workout Any you recommend I can get in the UK or just make my own?

thanks again really appreciate the advice and information you and your team give out.

There are some supplements that would likely be beneficial, but you don’t need to consume another meal prior to working out.

  1. You don’t need to eat again between 1700 and when you train, ~ 1800.
  2. It doesn’t matter when you take it
  3. See above
  4. I think the ingredients in Peri Rx represent my recommendations for periworkout supplements

Hi BBM team,

Greetings!!!

I’m Andy, and in 2009, I founded AOB Nutrition right from my college flat in Dublin. Right from the start, my goal has been to offer top-quality supplements at reasonable prices, all while providing exceptional customer service.

Our journey commenced on a social media platform in the era before Facebook had become mainstream in Ireland. Remember Bebo? That’s where we first connected with our initial customers.

During those early days, our customer base was solely in Dublin. We hadn’t established a website or set up a method for processing card payments. So, I personally delivered every order by hand, and our customers paid in cash upon delivery. If you were one of our early customers, there’s a good chance I pedaled your order to you between my college lectures.

With the collaboration of my brother, AOB Nutrition inaugural website went live in January 2010. However, it lacked the capability to accept card payments. It wasn’t until 2012 that we finally had a courier partner and payment provider in place, allowing AOB Nutrition to reach a nationwide audience.

Over the years that followed, we continually refined and enhanced our business, growing into one of Ireland’s largest online supplement stores with a vast selection of over 700 products.

According to Trustpilot, we hold the title of “Ireland’s Preferred Online Supplement Store” with an impressive rating of approximately 4.8.

Presently, we remain an entirely independent company with an unwavering commitment to delivering the finest supplements at competitive prices, accompanied by unparalleled customer service.
