Programming when 'Life Stress' is high

Male, 33, 6’, 108kg. Squat e1rm 200kg, deadlift e1rm 200kg.

In the process of moving house and have general stress from work.

I’m currently on week 3 of the Low Fatigue Template using the Low ISF 3 Day with competition movements on all 3 days. I’m feeling really beat up. Should I reduce the volume, keep going with the program as written(as long as I use the prescribed RPE) or do something else?

Thanks for your time.

I would likely continue on the program as is unless performance is dropping and/or your motivation is waning. If either or both of these things are present, check out the troubleshooting section of the PDF for managing intensity via RPE and volume.

Thank you, Jordan.

I would say my motivation is waning a little. I’m content with my current e1rm squat but would like to get my deadlift to 220kg.

If I were to drop one of the squat sessions, which would you choose?

Thanks again.

Probably the squat at the end of day 2 in that template, if the other changes in the PDF aren’t appealing.
