Pseudo Locked Knee

Hi BBM team,

I’ve been experiencing what seems to match the symptoms of pseudo locked knee, mainly that my leg locks in a bent position for a few seconds. It is very painful for the few seconds it happens (8/10) then probably a 5-6/10 for the following day or two.

It used to be something that happened once every few years but recently it has became more frequent (it happened this evening whilst playing soccer). It is now happening happening every week or so, mainly when standing up from a cross legged position on the ground, or kneeling down to tie my laces.

I’m currently running the BBM PB1 and it’s going well so far. The only change in my training recently is that I’ve been using a stationary bike for the GPP portion of my training but previsoly I skipped it.

do you have any advice for what I should do? Is the bike likely related.

thanks

Other symptoms:

  1. pain is mostly on the outside of my knee
  2. the joint feels less stable for the following few hits

Hi,

Unfortunately this is going to be difficult for us to comment on confidently via the forum. My best recommendation for you would be a consultation with our rehab team.
