Just finishing up with The Bridge 1.0 with good results. Would like to improve general conditioning and enjoy some outdoor activities that I haven’t spent much time on lately. I come from an endurance background and really enjoy mountain biking and sometimes trail running. Would the GPP template be productive subbing this type of activity in (MTBing) for the prescribed conditioning sessions? Rides are likely to be in the 1 hr range with a longer ride once a week (2-4 hrs). Coming from an endurance background this volume wouldn’t be taxing.
Goals are fat loss while maintaining strength. Realistically I’m okay with a slight strength loss but don’t want to sacrifice all my gainzzz. Can I expect to maintain strength with this approach? I will most likely run the 12 week strength program once the summer is up.
