Question on Powerlifting II last week - Day 1 deadlift

Hi,

I wasn’t sure how to search for this answer if it’s been given already, but in Powerlifting II, Week 13, Day 1, for Deadlift it says “work up to 1 rep @ last warm up”. I’m not sure what that means exactly. What estimate should I warm up to? Would it be a 1 @ 8, or something else?

BTW, I loved this template and really enjoyed the program. Looking forward to setting some PRs next week. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the question! That prescription is to work up to 1 repetition at the last warm up prior to the three attempts that would take place in a meet, as the template is designed as if the user is going to a meet. Sorry for any confusion!

Ok, that makes sense now.

I’m going to run a mock meet next week in my basement gym to get myself ready for a real competition later this year. Will do Hypertrophy II next, then plan the Powerlifting II program to line up with the competition.
