Question PB I Gen2 - Two Day Template

Wanted to buy Powerbuilding Gen 2 specifically for the two-day option.

Checked the template in the app and looked through the first week of the two-day version. There’s no lateral delt work, no direct glute work, and no leg extensions.

Is there a reason for this?

I’d like to purchase and run the program, but based on this, it seems like a poor choice for hypertrophy.

It seems like you’re looking for specific exercise, but the slots for these exercises are there for the most part.

For example, if you’d like to do lateral raises, that would fit in the shoulder accessory slot on Day 2, exercise 5.

For leg extensions, they are one of the options on Day 1, exercise 5.

Exercise selection is discussed at length in the accompanying text, but we only list 2-3 exercises in the app to avoid confusion and make the app run more smoothly.

The program has three slots for lower body training that will sufficiently train the posterior chain with this time constraint. FWIW, I only rarely program direct glute work because I don’t think it is a great use of training resources for individuals doing compound lower body exercises, who are also interested in hypertrophy.

I do think this program is a reasonable choice for someone who is interested in hypertrophy and strength in the Big Three. For someone only interested in hypertrophy, the Bodybuilding programs would be more your speed.
