Question Regarding Peaking

Hello doctors, question regarding peaking. If I only have 2 meets / year and they are within 2 months of each other, should I peak at any other time during the year, or is before a meet the only time worth peaking? Would I just be better off running cycle, pivot, cycle, pivot, repeat until I get close to a meet?
Also I love the content and have realized I was completely misguided before coming across you guys and Mike T.

Keegan,

If training is going well at another point of the year and you really want to hit some PR’s, I think doing another brief peak/testing period can be of value. If you don’t really want to do this, I think you can skip it- though some spent working at higher intensities, specificity, singles, etc. is probably useful too.
