Had a low back tweak a couple weeks ago. Adjusted training and is now basically back to normal. I’m surprised how quickly I was able to return, however, I still have some very mild discomfort. I am able to tolerate it though.
Should I just continue on my current path? Or do I need to adjust training so that the discomfort is better managed?
Currently running PB2, 2+ years consistent training
Sorry to hear about the injury. Seems like it’s mostly resolved based on your report. If true, I don’t think that you need to do anything differently right now. However, you are asking about it on a forum, leading me to have concerns that maybe it’s not as mild as you lead on…
I can’t really tell what limitations, if any, you have from here. I suspect that and some discussion of pain severity would help me make a decision here. If you can do everything you want to and the pain during activity is not affecting training, I’d probably carry on. I do reserve the right to change my opinion based on additional information.
Thanks for putting so much thought into your reply. My average pain is 0-1. Mostly what I notice is a strange sensation like pressure (when I do notice anything), or very slight instability. My pain does occasionally go up to 6/7 temporarily if I shift around while sitting, or if I sit for a long time in a less advantageous position it’ll be a 3 or 4 and feel sore for a bit. The only times I feel any pain during training are when I’m getting on and off the bench press or set up on a cable row.
I think I mostly just needed some reassurance that things are ok but maybe the additional info will change your opinion
