Rdl rom?

Hi!

I’m a guy who has never been able to touch his toes. When I heard that BBM was like “lol don’t care about flexibility” I felt way better, especially because I’d been doing some other athletic stuff with stretching and just wasn’t getting more flexible.

Now I’m looking at a Hypertrophy template, and there’s this new to me exercise, the RDL.

What kind of range of motion should I be looking to do on the RDL?

A few inches below the patella is our general guideline.

Thanks Jordan!

I’m a kind of guy who can’t touch his toes and has never touched his toes.

When I do an RDL, it comes down to my kneecap before going down father is other parts of the body compensating.

I gave it a try in the gym today. An experienced lifter told me to slightly bend my knees as I kind of folded my pelvis back and down. Got it below the kneecap. I’m just a little unclear on what exactly I’m doing with my knees and when to bend them.

You should be bending the knees slightly, similar to a deadlift at that ROM. These are not stiff legged deadlifts
