Legacy 12WS. I’ve been experiencing low back pain since W1D2. It has not resolved on its own, but while nagging for the most part it’s been tolerable so I just proceeded along. I reduced loads here and there by small percentages as needed.
However today on W4D4 I experienced significant aggravation following my 4@9 MSRP. I’m thinking it’s time try pain management by reducing load to try to resolve the issue so it does not continue to flare up and cause issues. I had to drop loads today by nearly 50% to complete the work.
My question how to program this load reduction within the program. If I reduce load next week, even if I rerun week 5 the following week it’s followed by week 6 which is another low stress week. I’m concerned that may be too many low stress weeks in quick succession. Would it be better to:
-
Reduce load for pain management next week, rerun week 5 the following week and follow the program as outlined from week 6 onward
-
Swap weeks 5 and 6, ie run week 6 next week at reduced loads since it’s low stress anyways, follow it with week 5, then move on to week 7
-
Run week 5 at reduced loads next week, then jump back to some previous week (such as week 2) and rerun the program, hopefully pain free this time, to accumulate the proper workload when week 6 is reached.

Some other suggestion…?
