In regards to repeat sets, lets say I have to hit 1x8 @8 and repeat 2 sets of 8 @ 8
If during my 2 second repeat set, I feel like the that 8 rep will be @9 should I stop at rep 7 or try to hit 8 reps and overshot the rpe?

Thanks for the post! I would just hit the set of 8 in this scenario rather than abort the set.
