Hey guys just started PB1. Absolutely loving it at the moment. I dont plan to compete and only really care about my TnG bench oppose to comp style bench. Should i replace bench press with TnG and only do pause when its 2ct+ , or will it make no difference and i should just run it the way it is? I want to maximise my strength on TnG bench, what would you recommend?
If you want to maximize your strength on TnG bench, you should do TnG bench as your main bench variation. That said, I think TnG bench’s technical constraints can vary over time, e.g. more or less bounce. I prefer folks train the paused bench for this reason, but that’s just my bias showing through.
In that case, should i do close grip hench as tng as well and then leave 2ct the same
That seems reasonable to me.
