RPE for Unilateral Exercises

Hi docs,

Currently on phase 2 of the beginner template and just had a question about unilateral exercises such as split squats:

After doing a set of 10 reps at a particular weight, the RPE for my left leg might be 9, but for my right leg it might be a 7. So should I go heavier/do more reps with my right leg such that I am able to hit RPE 9? Or should I maintain the same weight and reps on both sides so that my left leg can ‘catch up’ to my right leg?

Maintain the same weight and reps and rate the RPE after both sides are done.
