Judging RPE on unilateral work

When performing unilateral work, how do you recommend rating RPE? If I find I can do a few more reps (or more weight at same reps and RPE) on one side of the other, should I train the weaker side first and match reps and load on stronger side, or judge each side separately and adjust reps or load accordingly? I’m assuming if I let my weaker leg control they will converge, but interested in your thoughts.

I wouldn’t do more reps or more weight on one side than the other. I would judge RPE based on how hard you think the set was or reps in reserve.
