Shoulder Rehab Template, Bursitis, and Calorie Deficit

Hi,

I recently hurt my shoulder during training. I had an ultrasound and have been diagnosed with bursitis. I’ve had some trouble getting back to the gym and have missed a few weeks of training. I’m really hoping to get my training back on track and wondering if the shoulder rehab template is suitable for me. I notice that bursitis isn’t mentioned in the list of diagnoses under ‘who it’s for’. I’m also planning to start a cut and I am curious if the template is a good fit for someone who is cutting weight.

Would you recommend the shoulder rehab template to me, or do you think I might be better with another template and following the pain in training guide for movements which aggravate my shoulder? I would really appreciate your guidance!

If you had a sudden-onset/acute injury, it may not be necessary to go through an entire shoulder rehab-oriented program, as you may be able to get through it just by following the general advice outlined in our Pain in Training article.

However, if this isn’t enough or does not work out well for you, a template like that would be very reasonable to try for this situation. Your body weight management (bulking/cutting, etc.) is not a relevant consideration here.
